Born on February 6, 1980, Denis Hamson Obua has carved a niche for himself in Ugandan politics with a career marked by dedication and notable achievements. Before assuming his current role as Government Chief Whip on July 21, 2022, Obua served with distinction as the Minister of State for Sports, a position he took up on December 14, 2019, after replacing Charles Bakkabulindi. His tenure in various capacities, including as Commissioner of Parliament, Chairperson of the Science and Technology Committee, and Spokesperson for the Commonwealth Youth Forum, underscores his commitment to public service and governance.
